PennDOT Road Resurfacing
Please be advised that nighttime resurfacing will continue on the following state roads from July 10 through July 17, between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
- Bortondale Road from S. Old Middletown Road to 3rd Street
- Baltimore Pike from Route 452 to the Media Bypass
Middletown Township Paving Program
The Road Paving Program will begin on Monday, June 22, 2026. The paving contractor, Moore Brothers, will begin milling and paving Township roads over the coming weeks, weather permitting. The following roads are scheduled for paving: W. St. Andrews Drive, Abel Place, Howarth Road*, Palmers Lane, Cherrywood Lane, W. Glen Circle, Olde Farm Road, Painter Road and Paul Lane.
*While work is being performed on Howarth Road, the road will be closed to through traffic. Residents and service vehicles will continue to have access.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve Township roadways.
Pump Station Construction Update
Beginning the week of May 18, preliminary work for the pump station project will begin. Actual construction of the pump station is tentatively scheduled to start in mid-June and continue through completion, which is anticipated by September 30, 2026. Construction hours will be Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hours may be extended as needed depending on construction progress and weather conditions. PECO WORK NOTICE
Construction on Barren Road - Pole work on existing (No replacement) and Country Village Way. Installation of underground cables & transformers is scheduled to begin mid-April 2026 and is expected to be completed by July 2026. Crews may need to temporarily interrupt service to safely complete some of this work. PECO will work with local residents to ensure they are informed in advance of their activities and any planned interruptions.

Penn Dot Route 1/352 Improvement Project
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Draft PEL (Planning and Environmental Linkages) Study for the Route 352 and U.S. 1 Roadway Improvements Project in Middletown Township, Delaware County, is now available on the project website at pa352us1delco.com.
