Roosevelt Community Center
2024 Parks & Recreation Fee Schedule
The former Rose Tree Media Roosevelt Elementary School has been transformed into the Middletown Township Roosevelt Community Center. The building is made up of an east wing and a west wing.
- The east wing, built in 1921, is the permanent home of the Middletown Township Historical Society
- The community center has various classrooms for community use. Organizations interested in using the Roosevelt Community Center should contact the community center HERE or at 610-565-2700 x300. The "Application for Facility Use" can be accessed by clicking the link.
- The west wing, built in 1952, has undergone a comprehensive update. A portion of the wing is the new home of the Middletown Free Library.
- Originally constructed in the 1920s as a four-room schoolhouse, the building enjoyed at least four additions to its floor plan, culminating in an entirely new building and connecting wing in the rear of the original building. It was used by Rose Tree Media School District as an elementary school until the early 1980's when it was sold for private use. Middletown seized the opportunity to purchase the property in late 2015 to preserve the building and surrounding open space for community use.
